BUSINESS OWNERS - IS MENTORING FOR YOU?
Mentoring has certainly caught on recently as a much promoted "management speak" subject.

Green Corporates Director Colin Bodimeade's interpretation of this "new" phenomenon is that it is 'the provision of external experienced advice and support to business owners'. Initially this takes the form of a meeting to review the owner's needs and may include the introduction of new shareholders, changes of exisiting shareholders, sale of the business or purchase of another business. A programme is prepared which typically includes a list of the owner's target subjects and a timetable. These target subjects represent key issues that you as the owner wish to discuss privately and objectively. While trusted business partners and advisors can give you an  informed opinion, it may be that you need to investigate whether there are any other options, but wish to aviod upsetting your advisor team.

We all need to examine our business carefully and objectively in order to find solutions to meet new business paradigms. In 2009, do you know how you are going to adapt your business in order to prosper in the changing environment?

If you would like an introduction to an experienced business mentor, please email  Paul Griffiths.

Paul (who had heart surgery in December 08) beat Sarah's time by 6 minutes to finish in 58 minutes (much to her dismay!) If you would like to hear more about Pauls story or to make a donation please
