Qualified to degree level or appropriate in a related technical discipline

Confident, outgoing, comfortable dealing with customers both on the telephone and face to face

Qualifications

Since this is a management job, some post-secondary education is usually necessary. The job is upwardly mobile, but it is not just handed out to anyone. An Operations Manager needs to be a natural leader and needs to be able to maximise efficiency and get a message across to their employees as effectively as possible. They also need to be good listeners and hard workers. As far as the type of degrees operations managers would generally need to have, it depends on the field, but generally, a solid background in finance, business, or accounting would be a good call.
