General Manager

Our client, a large international commodity inspection group, is looking for an experienced and capable General Manager designate with the aim of eventually being in a position to run it’s operations in China. This is a key territory for the Group and as such, requires a hands on focused individual who will both consolidate the existing business operations as well as ensure all opportunities for expansion are identified and successfully pursued.

A mandarin speaker, with proven experience of successfully operating in China, you should also have an understanding of operating a business in the minerals/metals/mining or related industries as well as, ideally, exposure to the inspection and testing service field. The Company will be looking for a person who can achieve both a continued high quality service and growth through a mix of best practice, an outward facing approach to customers, a can-do / make things happen mentality, a focused service delivery ethos and a management style which is adaptable and communicative.

This is a key role and success which could result in wider senior management responsibilities in the region and possibly elsewhere in the Group.
