Job Title: Financial Controller

Our client is a privately owned business based in Cheshire, supplying the construction and civil engineering markets. Despite the general downturn, they are still doing well. They have a vacancy for an experienced financial controller to join the business in a senior capacity. This is a new role which will encompass a variety of tasks including: monthly management accounts using Sage Line 100, cashflows, dealing with the bank/credit finance company, managing debtors/creditors, liaison with suppliers re: contract terms, wages, job costing, some purchasing support etc. The job holder will report to the Managing Director and will be capable of working autonomously with a hands-on style. There is a small team based at the head office near Stockport in Cheshire and it is therefore crucial to be focused; detail conscious; comfortable in a small company environment; flexible; possess good interpersonal and communication skills; and be keen to be an integral part of a growing and successful business.
